No God Like You

Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love. (Micah 7:18)

Who indeed is a God like you, merciful and gracious, granting forgiveness on those who least deserve it? Israel and Judah had sinned gravely. They forsook the way of the Lord and whored after Baal and all the other false gods of their neighboring kingdoms. They disregarded His laws and killed His prophets, shunning His will. Yet, the LORD promised restoration. Yet, the Lord promised peace.

This peace is imparted on us Christians. This promise is extended to us as well. Who indeed, Lord, is merciful as You? Who pardons iniquities like You do? Who delights in steadfast love as You do? Who saves the unworthy? There is none like You, Lord. You alone are God. You alone save. You alone pardon iniquity. And You alone are the name in which I would boast, for You have saved me and cleansed me.

Thank you for Your grace, Lord. I did not deserve it, yet You chose to save me. May my entire life then be a song of praise and thanks to Your loving kindness.
