Compliance

Compliance shall be rewarded.

But to what cost? To what loss?
Shall the gain be worth pursuing?
Or is it a mirage to a person lost
in the desert wild and winding?

Compliance shall be rewarded.

But what has to be compromised?
Would it prove futile after all,
To go for the things they promised?
Knowing it would seem as your moral downfall?

Compliance shall be rewarded.

But to a person, what shall it cost?
Shall the wages suffice?
When everything you hold dear gets lost,
Can it offer enough of a prize?
